Floral Clerk Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Floral Clerk to join our team at Vallarta Supermarkets. As a Floral Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the visual appeal of our floral displays, ensuring that they are well-stocked, clean, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Floral Display Maintenance: Ensure that floral displays are visually appealing and well-maintained, including rotating and culling products to ensure freshness and quality control.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by offering assistance to customers and meeting the goals and objectives of the department.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that products are properly stored and displayed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Positive Attitude: Exhibit a responsible, professional, and positive attitude towards the job.
  • Flexibility: Be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Employment Eligibility: Be able to provide proof of employment eligibility in the US.
  • Allergy-Free: Be able to work around various fruits, vegetables, and plant items with no allergic consequences that may affect job performance.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to work in refrigerated coolers and around humidity for short periods of time.
  • Floral Knowledge: Have the ability to learn all types of floral product and care for them properly.
  • Tool Proficiency: Be able to learn to use tools and equipment used in the department.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Be able to effectively work in a fast-paced, crowded environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Language Skills: Have a basic understanding of the English language.
