Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment, and adhering to all regulatory requirements.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, promoting evidence-based practice and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest standards of practice.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to patient and customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
  • Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring accurate ordering, storage, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement strategies to prevent loss and minimize waste, ensuring the integrity of the pharmacy and its operations.
  • Workflow Management: Optimize pharmacy workflow, streamlining processes and improving efficiency to enhance patient care and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state where employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Must be certified in immunizations through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check, including a review of any pending felony charges or convictions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
