This role emphasizes the importance of quality and presentation in food preparation to enhance guest satisfaction and optimize culinary revenue.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and organize daily tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Prepare and portion ingredients, including cutting, trimming, and marinating meats and poultry.
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately to maintain consistency.
- Transport food items safely between workstations, cooking areas, and storage facilities.
- Store food items properly, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with supervisors regarding low stock.
- Uphold sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Exhibit a polished appearance and adhere to company dress codes.
- Follow established company policies and procedures diligently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall guest satisfaction.
- Education/Experience: Basic literacy and numeracy skills with a preference for candidates possessing at least one year of food preparation experience.
- Certification: Required food handling permits as mandated by local regulations.
Ability to comprehend and execute instructions provided in various formats, including written and verbal communication. Capable of addressing issues that involve multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical RequirementsThis position demands physical capabilities to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities include frequent standing, walking, and the use of hands for various tasks, as well as occasional tasting or smelling of food items.
Preferred Experience- Cooking: 5 years
- Food Preparation: 3 years
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
