Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our innovative primary care clinic. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing medical care for patients in collaboration with a physician.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in population health, health and wellness, and preventative care. You will work in a hybrid role, combining in-person and virtual components to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care
- Manage patients in office, hospital, emergency, and/or perioperative settings
- FOLLOW ambulatory care and inpatient standardized procedures, protocols, policy, and procedures regulated by the State of California Physician Assistant Practice Act
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- PA-Physician Assistant (NCCPA & California state) licensure
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- Active and unrestricted DEA license
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Working knowledge of electronic health records such as EPIC
- Critical thinking skills as it relates to specialized departments
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
