Guidehouse is seeking a skilled Software Developer Tester to join our team. As a Software Developer Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases (manual and automated)
  • Identify, document, and track software defects
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
  • Ensure that new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
  • Track and report on quality metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • FIVE (5) years of experience as a Software Developer Tester or similar
  • THREE (3) years of experience with Cucumber
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data validation testing
  • Understanding of the principles of Accessibility Compliance, 508/WCAG
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and tools like Figma
  • Certifications in software testing (ex. CAST, CSQA, ISTQB)
  • Proficiency in Python and Java
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, JUnit)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes in GitHub Actions
  • Solid understanding of API testing and tools like Postman (CLI) Newman
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
