Medical Director Physician

We are seeking a dynamic clinician researcher to lead our well-established Division of Hematology/Oncology and be a distinguished leader within the Cancer Institute at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
About the RoleThe successful applicant will provide strategic direction in establishing an ACGME-accredited medical oncology fellowship and in developing a flourishing clinical education and research program to advance the tripartite healing, education, and discovery mission of the Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and direction to the Division of Hematology/Oncology
- Develop and implement a comprehensive clinical education and research program
- Establish an ACGME-accredited medical oncology fellowship
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance the Cancer Institute's mission
Qualified applicants must possess an MD or MD/PhD degree or equivalent with current ABIM board certification in hematology and/or oncology and have at least 5 years of post-fellowship experience with an illustrious track record of patient care, research, educational, and academic accomplishments in addition to strong administration and leadership abilities that will support appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level.
What We OfferThe academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidates' qualifications and clinical experience. Applicants must also be eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee.
