Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with YesCare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare to inmates in a correctional setting. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility.
Administer and document medications on the Medication Administration Record.
Perform histories and physicals on inmates, assessing their health status and referring them to appropriate healthcare providers as needed.
Teach healthcare information to patients and correctional staff.
Collect samples, specimens, and cultures per physician orders.
Adhere to safety and security policies, participating in disaster drills and following security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
Perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy, following standard precautions and using personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a current valid state license for Registered Nurse and possess an active CPR certification. You should also be knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice and have satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role. A background check, security clearance, and drug screening are required for this position.
