Electrophysiology Nurse

About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Electrophysiology Lab team at ChristianaCare. As a Circulating Nurse, you will provide procedural assistance and educate patients undergoing cardiac procedures. Our state-of-the-art Gerret and Tatiana Copeland Arrhythmia Center features advanced stereotaxis equipment for expert diagnosis and treatment of heart-rhythm disorders.
You will work closely with our skilled electrophysiologists and heart specialists to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Circulating for pre- and post-procedures and performing RN to RN handoffs
- Meeting patients and reviewing their history, identifying allergies, checking medications, and answering questions
- Scrubbing in with the provider for electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker insertion, internal cardioverter defibrillator insertion, and ablations
- Recording and troubleshooting equipment, monitoring and performing measurements on intracardiac recording systems
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- DE RN License or RN License from a compact state
- BSN preferred
- At least two years of RN experience, with experience in Electrophysiology or other procedural areas preferred
- Experience with EKG and Telemetry
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
