Job Overview

The Assistant Director of Housing Operations is a key member of the Johns Hopkins University Community Living Housing team, responsible for managing various aspects of university housing. This role oversees processes related to first-year assignments, upper-class room selection, and housing accommodations, working closely with Student Disability Services and Office of Institutional Equity. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining StarRez, the student housing portal, and generating statistical reports on space usage and occupancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Housing Assignments: Serve as liaison with Undergraduate Admissions to retrieve information on incoming students, manage housing updates on the student portal, and oversee the Room Selection Process.
  • Front Desk Management: Oversee daily operations, including front desk coverage and telephone management, and assist in supervising student staff.
  • Housing Operations: Manage training for On-Campus Living staff and campus partners on StarRez, interact with students and parents regarding housing needs, and ensure accurate database maintenance.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Higher Education or closely related field required.
  • Minimum three years experience in residence life/housing operations.
  • Experience with StarRez preferred.
Benefits and Salary Information

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $48,000 - $84,100 annually ($60,000 targeted), commensurate with experience.
