Our hospital, Kettering Health Dayton, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years. We offer over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services. Our hospital has expanded its Emergency Department and heart and vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab. We partner with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital. One of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States, our 371-bed facility has received many awards, including the Top 100 Hospital and the Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2019. We are committed to delivering safe care and have received an 'A' from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States. As a Registered Nurse in our Cath Lab, you will utilize the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other healthcare providers. You will be accountable for your own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law. You will act as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care, including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities. The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and nursing departments. To be eligible for this role, you must be licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse. You must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if you are a new graduate nurse. A Bachelor of Science in nursing is preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire). If you are returning to the acute care setting after five or more years, you may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course. You must have BLS certification and ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice. A minimum of 1 year of previous ED or ICU experience is required, and previous Cath Lab or IR experience is preferred. You must be able to work four 10-hour shifts per week and live within 30 minutes of the hospital per on-call requirement.
