Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manure Technician to join our team at Daybreak Foods. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our manure management program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain manure drying systems, manure belts, and air blowers
  • Perform daily, preventative, and predictive maintenance on manure system equipment, including bearings, chains, and belts
  • Track and document all activities, including running times, with accurate forms and paperwork
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the system
  • Work with maintenance department on special projects as needed
  • Clean and take inventory of equipment as required
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production demands
Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of maintenance experience, preferably in an agricultural setting
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of maintenance techniques
  • Ability to operate required equipment and tools safely
  • Skilled in lock-out/tag-out and other safety procedures
  • Ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively
Physical Demands

This role requires standing and walking constantly, with frequent gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Occasional sitting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. Temperature varies in relation to outside temperature. Moderate noise level. Proper personal protective equipment required during certain working conditions.
