As the Quality Management Systems Director, you will oversee the creation, execution, and enhancement of Schreiber's worldwide quality management framework (QMF) to ensure alignment with customer and regulatory expectations.

Your role will involve promoting consistency, simplification, and ongoing enhancement (OE) of the QMF throughout the organization by utilizing OE methodologies, integrated systems, feedback mechanisms, and predictive analytics to mitigate risks and boost operational efficiency.

This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement. The hybrid schedule consists of 2 days at the Home Office and the remaining days working remotely. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the global implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of quality programs across the company, ensuring adherence to quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction objectives.

  • Manage critical quality system (QS) programs to foster global alignment, including but not limited to Non-Conforming Events, Complaints, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Document Control, Hold and Release, Recall and Traceability, etc.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various business regions to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of Quality System requirements and procedures in accordance with domestic and international regulations and standards.
  • Establish and manage a robust global Management Review process, including regular reporting.
  • Lead and support the implementation of new QS processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Execute the Quality System strategy and facilitate its implementation.

Manage and provide input on essential business systems tools related to the QMF, quality, and food safety.

  • Oversee the Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) as the primary owner for ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with vendors.
  • Work with and support other system tool owners to ensure QMF needs are met and processes are effectively integrated into our systems to guarantee product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and oversee the QMF profile within the company's document management system to ensure it meets quality and document control requirements.

Ensure compliance with the quality system and drive enhancements through the use of key performance indicators (KPIs) and predictive analytics to monitor the performance of essential quality system components.

  • Collaborate with IT to enhance and integrate systems that provide critical information and data visibility, automated trending, alerts, and notifications to support business needs and drive improvements.
  • Lead and support the implementation of new QS processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop and mentor global partners to enhance QS competency and cultivate a culture of quality and food safety.

  • Educate and coach partners to improve competency and engagement with quality systems and tools on a global scale.
  • Ensure that QMF policies, programs, procedures, and tools are aligned to foster a culture of food safety and quality, influencing positive behaviors.

In collaboration with the leadership team, ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality Plans, as well as customer requirements. Interpret and communicate customer expectations to production and support teams. Establish and audit critical control points and standard operating procedures to define and monitor processes, ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved. Review incidents where procedures are not followed and determine appropriate corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing.
  • Expertise in QMF frameworks (GFSI, ISO, etc.) and in developing and implementing quality systems and processes within a manufacturing context.
  • Experience in the implementation and maintenance of Quality System requirements and procedures, including Non-Conforming Events, CAPA, Training, Document Control, Management Controls, and Internal Audits.
  • Experience in quality system compliance through Global KPIs, Quality Planning, Quality Systems Metrics and Trending, leading indicators, and predictive analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in statistical process control and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones, both domestically and internationally.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, both within the US and internationally.
