Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Robotics Teacher to join our team at Concorde Education.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Job Responsibilities

As a Robotics Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating collaborative robotics instructional sessions under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development.

Your major duties will include:

  • Meeting regularly with the Director of Educational Development to discuss lesson plans and student progress
  • Planning and facilitating learning sessions that cater to students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels
  • Assisting students in the development of robotics skills, engineering, coding, and other STEM-related skill sets
  • Maintaining consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development
  • Modeling appropriate academic and social behaviors
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or education
  • Teaching and/or tutoring experience, preferably in a robotics or coding program
  • Extensive computer science and/or robotics experience, including knowledge of coding languages such as Scratch, Blockly, Swift, and Python
  • The ability to work independently, applying critical thinking skills and problem-solving to various situations
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Flexibility and discretion, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
