Position Overview:

Location: UCHealth Parkview Medical Center

Department: 5 Tower Med/Surg Stroke

Employment Type: Full Time, 0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Compensation: $49.62 per hour, based on relevant experience

Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience.
  • Valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with card in-hand before the start date.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Embrace a collaborative team approach to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Focus on wellness, patient perspectives, and evidence-based practices.
  • Mentor and guide new healthcare professionals and nursing staff.
  • Stay abreast of new knowledge in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ensure safety and quality care at the point of service.
Acute Care Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units with moderate to high patient acuity.
  • Implement AMSN's core curriculum and adhere to specialty certification standards.
