Pharmacist - PRN Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications and other pharmaceutical preparations as ordered by physicians
- Provide pharmaceutical consultation to doctors and nurses
- Assist with IV admixture program and ensure accuracy and completeness of orders
- Participate in pharmacy quality assurance and floor inspection reports
- Collaborate with sales representatives and vendors to ensure optimal pharmacy operations
- Current license to practice pharmacy in West Virginia (or appropriate state licensure where services will be provided) or be license eligible
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Experience in hospital pharmacy, either through internship or as a registered pharmacist
- Computer experience and proficiency in pharmacy software
- Knowledge of pain management and total patient care
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements- Ability to walk and stand for long periods
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and push 50 pounds
- Dexterity required for finger, hand, and reach movements
- Knowledge of growth and development
- Understanding of patient needs and scope of treatment
- Understanding of biophysical, bio-psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, spiritual, cultural, ethical, and discharge planning needs
- Knowledge of pain management and total patient care
