Genetic Counselor

At Courseadvisor, we are seeking a skilled Genetic Counselor to join our team. As a Genetic Counselor, you will play a crucial role in assessing individual or family risk for various inherited conditions, such as genetic disorders and birth defects.

• Assess individual or family risk for inherited conditions and provide information to healthcare providers or individuals and families concerned with the risk.
• Advise individuals and families to support informed decision-making and coping methods for those at risk.
• Conduct research related to genetic conditions or genetic counseling.
• Provide patients with information about the inheritance of conditions such as cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and various forms of cancer.
• Refer patients to specialists or community resources.
• Prepare or provide genetics-related educational materials to patients or medical personnel.
• Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to patients or physicians.
