Medical Oncologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Agnes Cancer Institute. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to the development of our cancer program.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with various types of cancer, utilizing evidence-based practices and staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiation oncologists, surgeons, and nurse practitioners, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, to enhance your skills and contribute to the growth of our cancer program.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and needs throughout the treatment process.
- Board certification in Hematology/Oncology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Maryland.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
Ascension Saint Agnes is a 254-bed teaching hospital and a part of Ascension, one of the largest non-profit health systems in the country.
