Job Summary:

As a Certified Surgical Technician at DHR Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our team and the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling equipment as needed.

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and easily accessible.

• Monitor and maintain the sterile field, ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and stored.

• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and other tasks as needed to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.

• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified First Assistant (CFA) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.

• One to two years of experience as a surgical technologist or in a related field.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to maintain a sterile environment and handle equipment safely and efficiently.

• Basic life support (BLS) certification required; advanced life support (ALS) certification preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.

• Stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and move quickly and safely in a sterile environment.

• Work in a team environment, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.

• Maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail, even in a high-stress environment.

• Work in a variety of settings, including operating rooms, recovery rooms, and other areas of the hospital.
