Aquatic Supervisor

Position Overview: As an Aquatic Supervisor, you will oversee the operations of aquatic facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Your leadership will guide a team of lifeguards and staff in maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff and ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Perform lifeguard duties and execute lifesaving techniques as necessary.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections of pools and surrounding areas to uphold health standards.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical balance in pools, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of aquatic equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patron inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility usage, incidents, and chemical levels.
  • Facilitate in-service training sessions for staff.
  • Instruct swim lessons for various skill levels as assigned.
  • Act as the manager on duty in the absence of higher management.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 17 years old with prior experience in aquatics leadership preferred. Relevant certifications, such as Ellis Lifeguarding and swim instruction, are required or must be obtained shortly after hiring.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of aquatic facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service.

Physical Requirements: The role involves various physical activities, including swimming, lifting, and performing rescues. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment.
