Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care at Proactive MD. As a frontline representative of our Patient Promise, the RN provides medical care at the direction of the provider, working to meet the individual needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures.
- Gather and assess objective and subjective data from patients.
- Document data and assessments in patient records, utilizing computer systems and information technology for standard documentation and coding.
- Assist providers in consultations, treatments, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Execute medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate for the setting and competency.
- Provide patient health counseling and instruction, including meetings with families and caregivers.
- Manage medication reconciliation, patient compliance, inventory, education, and operating medical equipment.
- Maintain medical supplies, inventory, and disposal, ensuring regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform triage of calls for urgent appointments, referrals for patient consults and testing, insurance pre-certification, and documentation.
- Utilize general office skills, including keyboarding, office computer software, filing, answering telephones, email, faxing, and copying.
- RN with a current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, valid for at least 90 days after start date.
- 1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state and federal requirements.
- Ability to interpret and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of Proactive MD.
