About the Job

Cyfle is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for learning and becoming proficient in various functions within the Project Controls department, including cost code types, booking sheets, and labor plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain fundamental project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Assist project teams with budget forecasting and gain experience in forecasting project outcomes
  • Perform basic piping quantity takeoff and develop material lists based on current engineering specifications
  • Assist project teams with development of proposals and learn to write clarifications
  • Understand basis of estimating units, such as MCA or Hang and Tack, and learn time and material rate structures for estimating
  • Learn and be able to perform accounting system functions, including preparing daily and weekly field time sheets accurately
  • Understand craft pay rates and overtime rules, and mentor new foremen in payroll procedures
  • Write layoff checks when at remote site locations and understand cash flow
  • Participate in customer entertainment outside of the normal workday and begin to develop relationships with customers
  • Attend Risk Management training to understand levels of risk that the company will accept on projects
  • Learn to perform safety audits and recognize unsafe behaviors in the field
  • Participate in company Safety Incentive programs and daily safety planning activities
  • Read and understand the company Marketing Plan and assist in pursuit of projects that are in line with the Marketing Plan
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Management is preferred
  • Internship experience during undergraduate coursework or up to 10 years of construction experience
  • Work on-site, no sponsorships or visa holders, and no Corp-to-Corp
