We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CVOR Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Plan Patient Care: Evaluate patient needs before, during, and after surgical procedures, and develop effective care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in Surgical Procedures: Assist physicians during surgeries, administer medications, and apply dressings as needed.
- Maintain Aseptic Techniques: Ensure a sterile environment in the operating room, and actively monitor situations that could compromise asepsis.
- Coordinate Operating Room Activities: Oversee the availability of equipment, supplies, and personnel to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
- Ensure Proper Specimen Handling: Safely collect, label, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and current BLS and NIH certifications.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in acute care, preferably in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, and strong attention to detail.
