This position involves conducting comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. You will develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results and implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Treatment and Education: Implement tailored therapies and educate patients and families on communication improvement strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
- Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
- Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
