About the Role:
Mira Vie at West Milford is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to our residents, promoting their highest level of functioning, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as per their individualized plan of care.
- Document Resident Information: Accurately document all pertinent information regarding care, including vital signs, medication administration, and any changes in resident status.
- Assist with Daily Activities: Prepare residents for meals, assist with meal setup and eating, and assist with toilet and incontinence care.
- Perform Room Checks: Conduct regular room checks to ensure residents' apartments are neat and clean, and verify resident location as directed by supervisor.
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Team Process: Actively participate in care plan meetings, document care delivered, and resident condition as directed by supervisor.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- Experience in Caregiving: Six months of experience in a caregiving role or similar function is a plus, but not required.
- CNA or HHA License: Not required, will train.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
