Position Details:

- Department: Surgery

- Schedule: Full Time, Days

- Starting Pay: $15.80+

- Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts

- Location: Bone & Joint Hospital

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and check anesthesia machines and monitors, including the replacement of oxygen cylinders and refilling anesthesia gases.
  • Assist in the setup of anesthesia equipment as required.
  • Manage the inventory of sterile solutions and surgical supplies, ensuring that all storage areas are adequately stocked.
  • Monitor and order supplies for anesthesia and related departments, ensuring all anesthesia carts are well-equipped.
  • Ensure that any malfunctioning equipment is serviced promptly, adhering to infection control and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate the turnover of operating rooms by disinfecting anesthesia work areas and connecting clean circuits to anesthesia machines.
  • Maintain a high level of alertness and safety while performing duties.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Education: High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience (10 years).

- Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of heavier objects (25-50 lbs).
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring vision, depth perception, and color recognition.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and climbing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respond to auditory signals.

Required Certifications:

- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
