We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at the Outpatient Surgery Center of Asheville. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Operative Preparation: Assist in preparing the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
- Instrumentation and Equipment: Assemble and check both sterile and non-sterile equipment to ensure it is working properly.
- Patient Care: Assist in preparing patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites, and transporting patients to the operating room.
- Operating Room Support: Pass instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.
- Post-Operative Care: Assist in transferring patients to the recovery room and cleaning and restocking the operating room.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program, technical program, or related field.
- Certification: Certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
The Surgical Technologist will work in a clean, well-lighted, and cool environment. Must stand for long periods and remain alert during operations. At times may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpleasant sights, odors, and materials.
