Role ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse in the Float Pool will:
- Deliver autonomous nursing care to a designated patient demographic, acting as a clinical resource for colleagues and integrating evidence-based practices into daily operations.
- Be accountable for patient and family care processes and outcomes throughout each care episode.
- Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice within the unit and report overall performance to the nurse manager.
- Function as a primary coordinating nurse, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to tailor care plans that meet patient and family needs.
- Serve as a clinical resource for fellow nursing staff.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in Maryland or be eligible under Compact state agreements.
- Current status on all required training and certifications.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience with a solid foundation in clinical skills.
- A diploma or Associate's Degree in nursing is mandatory.
- Current BLS certification is essential, along with any unit-specific licensure as required.
- Must maintain 10 contact hours of continuing education every two years.
- Recent relevant clinical experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
