Job Summary

The Registered Nurse NICU II PRN Specialist will provide high-quality patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at North Suburban Medical Center. This role requires advanced knowledge and skills in the care of critically ill newborns, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in neonatal care.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Colorado or current active multistate RN license.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN degree preferred.
