As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments in a safe and effective manner, consistent with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Act as a patient advocate, promoting patient safety and well-being through ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in cardiovascular care.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support) or equivalent.
- ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training or equivalent.
- Critical Care Course or equivalent.
- CCRN certification (Critical Care Registered Nurse).
- PCCN certification (Progressive Care Certified Nurse).
- National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke Certification.
- RCIS certification (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
- RCES certification (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist).
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The successful candidate will also be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, with occasional bending, stooping, and crawling.
