**Job Summary**

The Springfield Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient Care Unit team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Follow the Plan of Care**: Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • **Effective Communication**: Communicate accurately and timely with patients, team members, and management to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • **Critical Thinking**: Apply critical thinking skills to identify and address patient care needs, considering alternative solutions when necessary.
  • **Human Care Relationships**: Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, integrating the human experience of health, illness, and healing into care delivery.
  • **Self-Management**: Manage your time and resources effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • **Leadership**: Apply leadership skills to guide and support colleagues in achieving shared goals.
  • **Health Promotion**: Incorporate teaching and health promotion into care delivery, demonstrating competence in patient education and health literacy.
  • **Knowledge Integration**: Apply knowledge integration skills to provide high-quality care to patients across the Inpatient Care Unit.

**Requirements:**

  • **Education**: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • **Licensure**: Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in Vermont in good standing.
  • **Certification**: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
  • **Experience**: One (1) year of inpatient experience (preferred).
  • **Communication Skills**: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • **Critical Thinking**: Strong critical thinking skills.
  • **Technical Skills**: Experience with electronic medical record systems.
