Job Description and Position Requirements:

The Penn State College of Medicine, University Fitness Center, in Hershey, PA is seeking a part-time Pilates instructor to serve as a provider of specialized Pilates services in the Pilates Studio.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing individualized one-on-one training and duet training sessions.
- Consulting and networking with physicians or healthcare providers when needed to prescribe Pilates training for a variety of populations, including medically-complicated individuals.
- Completing appropriate assessments applicable to Pilates programming.
- Providing group programming in either classes or special interest workshops.
- Representing the Pilates Studio and serving as a health educator through participation in health fairs, studio open houses, or other special events.
- Assisting studio management in developing appropriate promotional materials, enforcing studio policies, and following cleaning/maintenance protocols specific to studio equipment.

Requirements:
- A recognized Pilates comprehensive certification (i.e. Romana's Pilates, Peak Pilates, Authentic Pilates, Power Pilates, etc).
- Instructors-in-training who are enrolled in a teacher training course are also welcome to apply.

Clearances:
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
