Role Summary:

As a Lead Mainframe Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for crafting and executing innovative solutions that tackle intricate business challenges, thereby enhancing data-driven decision-making and boosting operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare comprehensive architecture and design documentation for sophisticated banking systems, ensuring alignment with coding constraints.
  • Write secure, high-quality code that integrates seamlessly with other efficient subsystems.
  • Encourage innovative thinking by challenging traditional methodologies to drive operational improvements.
  • Diagnose issues and collaborate with Product Teams and stakeholders to comprehend complex requirements, translating them into actionable design and development plans.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
  • Strong knowledge of CICS programming, including CICS screen programming.
  • Preferred experience with MQ Series and IMS DB coding.
  • Familiarity with banking compliance and regulatory frameworks is advantageous.

Additional Insights:

Hands-on coding experience is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong version control skills, effective communication abilities with team members and clients, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
