Job Description

Developmental Pathways Inc. is seeking an experienced ABA Intake Specialist to support our team in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families.

This position requires language fluency in both English and Spanish. As the Intake Coordinator, you will be the first contact for patients looking for services, and you will be booking appointments with providers and making sure that their schedules are full.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to client communications, including intake and onboarding of new patients
  • Establish and foster relationships with pediatric groups to create a pipeline of referrals
  • Schedule intake appointments and initial assessments
  • Review new referrals and book new intake appointments
  • Reschedule cancellations and no-call-no-shows as needed
  • Add demographic and payor details to metadata
  • Relay benefit information to clients
  • Add activity logs as needed
  • Check Medicaid eligibility
  • Create tasks in Central Reach
  • Send welcome emails to clients
  • Termination notifications referring to the provider
  • Return client and staff voicemails and emails as needed
  • Collect and upload new information, such as diagnosis reports and insurance cards, as needed
  • Record all changes and communications to clients' accounts, as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English

  • High attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience: 1-2 years of medical office experience (ABA experience is highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

About ABA:

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a branch of psychology that uses a scientific data-driven approach, including behavioral procedures and techniques
  • The goals of ABA are to reduce challenging behaviors, increase socially significant behaviors, and develop or improve activities of daily living (ADLs)

About Autism:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that manifests itself during the first three years of life and will last the entire life cycle
  • The fundamental symptoms of autism are persistent deficiencies in communication and social interaction and restrictive and repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: Full-Time 9:00am-6:00pm
Location: In Office (Van Nuys)
