Carpentry Specialist

Advanced Disaster Recovery, Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join its team of professionals in the region.
We provide restoration services to commercial, insurance, and residential clients, including emergency response, construction services, and contents restoration.
The Carpenter will be responsible for working on construction projects, varying in size, and will perform hands-on work, including basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and other tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work
- Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation
- Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures
- Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer's budget and style
- Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals
- Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code recommendations
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Lay out floorings, roofings, or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
- Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures
- Any other duties assigned by the manager
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ Years of Carpentry experience
- Basic math skills
- Proficient with tools, measuring instruments, heavy machinery, and electrical equipment
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physically fit with high endurance
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Adheres to best practices regarding occupational safety hazards
- Communicating with the customer start and end times each day and the status of the project
- Managing the crew to ensure that work is being completed efficiently
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Satisfactory background check
