Position Overview:
As a Radiologic Imaging Technician, you will utilize radiological imaging technology under close supervision to conduct procedures and tests that gather and assess patient diagnostic information.
Your role involves preparing and guiding patients through imaging processes, ensuring the safe and effective use of equipment while striving for optimal patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts radiological imaging procedures.
- Interprets imaging requests, collaborating with physicians when clarification is needed, and selects suitable scanning protocols based on anatomical knowledge.
- Engages with patients to identify any risk factors that may necessitate further examination for safety.
- Assists patients, including those who may be anxious, throughout their imaging experience, applying expertise and cultural sensitivity to explain the process and set expectations.
- Inputs imaging results into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Required:
- Enrollment in an accredited Radiological Technology program.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
