Job Summary

The Cardiac Sonographer is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for using echocardiography or ultrasound equipment to evaluate the cardiac system and provide critical information to physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct echocardiograms and other ultrasound procedures to evaluate cardiac function and structure
  • Record and analyze patient data, including medical history and test results
  • Provide summaries of findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac sonography and ultrasound technology
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or two-year technical diploma in a related healthcare program
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification awarded by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum one year of patient care experience, preferably in a cardiac sonography or ultrasound role
