The primary responsibility of this role is to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain established nursing practice objectives and standards.
- Complete required recordkeeping for resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services, programs, and activities.
- Provide direct patient care to residents, including medication administration and review of medication cards.
- Review patient care plans and make revisions as necessary to ensure resident goals and needs are met.
- Supervise CNAs and provide guidance and leadership to ensure high-quality care is provided.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in this state.
- Experience with electronic medical records and computer documentation systems.
