Role Responsibilities:
  • Implement systems engineering methodologies, protocols, and best practices within the framework of acquisition programs.
  • Deliver expert engineering support across development, testing, evaluation, training, and configuration management.
  • Provide specialized engineering guidance focused on transport and networking architecture, addressing both current and prospective tactical network capabilities.
  • Conduct design reviews and perform thorough technical evaluations and assessments of network performance and architectures, including risk assessments and integration strategies.
  • Assist in Capability Set (CS) and Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) initiatives.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies for communication enhancements.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including PEO C3T and other Army entities, to ensure interoperability considerations are met.
  • Interpret and analyze acquisition documentation relevant to Army tactical communications systems.
  • Transform requirements into standards-compliant and cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Review performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical precision and adherence to requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing, or a related discipline.
  • Possession of a Secret Security Clearance.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in tactical network engineering.
  • Extensive background in network engineering.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing LANs or VLANs.
  • Expertise in routing protocols, multicast, routing configurations, and IPv4/IPv6 addressing.
