Job Summary:

Maine Medical Center - Portland is seeking a skilled EEG Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality EEG procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform EEG procedures on patients of all ages, including neonatal and pediatric patients
  • Operate and maintain EEG equipment, including the Natus NeuroWorks system
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and efficient patient care
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide coverage as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest EEG technology and techniques

Requirements:

  • ABRET registration in EEG
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an EEG technologist
  • Proficiency in the collodion method
  • Ability to work in intensive care settings and with patients of all ages
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
  • Weekend hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted)
  • Call required: 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month

Additional Information:

  • Advanced pediatric experience and ambulatory EEG experience with paste, tape, wrap method
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment issues with IT and vendor
