Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Colonial Downs + Rosie's Gaming Emporium. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide next-level guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrating our company culture in all interactions.
  • Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
  • Resolve problems within the scope of authority and recommend courses of action to resolve problems beyond the scope of authority to the supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures and company policy.
  • Operate a cash register, handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments accurately.
  • Count down drawer and complete necessary paperwork at the end of each shift.
  • Return cash to the main bank and leave a copy of the shift checkout in the Restaurant Mail Box.
  • Ensure assigned section is ready for service prior to opening shift.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding customer service standards.
  • Complete all assigned side work prior to leaving shift.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Virginia Racing Commission License, Serv-Safe certification.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing for long periods, moving around the dining area, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
