Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at SERVPRO of Eastern Niagara County - 11542. As a key member of our Construction Services Division, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to drywall, insulation, flooring, and other carpentry work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair drywall, insulation, flooring, and other materials in residential and commercial properties.
  • Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, and door hardware.
  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
  • Shapes and cuts materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
  • Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings.
  • Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
  • Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repairs or replaces them using hand tools.
  • Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
  • Moves necessary materials around the job site as assigned.
  • Finishes drywall and paints.
  • Cleans up worksite debris.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry.
  • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans, and other specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety and ability to complete a company-specific safety orientation.
  • Physical and work environment requirements include the ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods, drive, sit, climb, and work in tight spaces.
