The Architect II - Technical Design Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality technical design solutions for assigned projects. Under the direction of the Project Architect or Project Manager, this role will investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions that meet the client's needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement technical design solutions that meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry's projects and resources to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
- Utilize architectural skills, including drawing, rendering, and visual presentation, to create high-quality design documents.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and consultant/contractor representatives to ensure project success.
- Assist the Project Architect in coordinating tasks and ensuring accuracy and completion of all project-related assignments.
- Prepare and produce drawings, design, and construction documents that meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with building systems, codes, and construction methods to provide expert advice and guidance.
- Promote a collaborative team environment and contribute to the overall quality and success of the project, studio, and firm.
- Write reports and specifications that meet client and industry requirements.
- Registered Architect with 5-8+ years of experience in a related field.
- Graduate of an accredited architectural program with a Bachelor's or Master's level degree.
- Strong understanding of building systems and documentation.
- Multi-family experience preferred.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands- Majority of time spent in a sitting position.
- Ability to move throughout the office or work remotely.
- Minimal lifting requirements.
- Some activities may require standing, bending, and stooping for short periods.
