Job Summary

DANIEL DEFENSE LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our product development and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support firearm developmental efforts by designing, developing, and testing product components.
  • Assist engineers in performing technical tasks related to manufacturing processes and projects.
  • Work within specific project objectives and recommend technical solutions for new products.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for tests, experiments, and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform DOE/ANOVA experiments to solve research questions using statistical software packages.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, tests, and results.
  • Apply key NPD tools and analysis methodology throughout the product development and verification process.
  • Perform root cause analysis on products returned from consumers and communicate results to the engineering and quality organization.
  • Compile summaries and reports based on collected data and observations.
  • Interface with product development engineers to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical college education or early career degree in engineering-related fields preferred.
  • Associates degree in applicable field preferred or extensive firearm experience.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a manufacturing environment mandatory.
  • Understanding of product development and design related to materials applications, failure analysis, materials characterization, and mechanical testing.
  • Self-driven hands-on individual with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and exert influence without alienating others.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and ability to quickly understand scope and constraints of a problem.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas, processes, and technical requirements through effective written, graphic, and oral methods.
  • Basic understanding of Lean, Kaizen, and Design for Manufacturing principles a plus.
  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks.
  • Moderate understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering concepts.
  • Ability to work under close direction and supervision of senior personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications for data entry and report generation.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards professional development.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
