Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting intricate steel structure blueprints for custom fabrication projects.

About the Role:

This is a challenging role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with welding techniques and heavy machinery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reading Blueprints: Interpret complex steel structure drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Fabrication: Fit steel plate structures for large assemblies, mark and prepare welds on large weldments, and perform welding on smaller assemblies as required.
  • Machining and Equipment Operation: Operate plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, grinding tools, drilling, and tapping equipment.
  • Heavy Machinery: Utilize cranes (50 tons) to move and flip large parts safely.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in fitting and fabricating large weldments.
  • Skillset: Proficiency with welding techniques, heavy machinery operation, and crane operation.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to read and comprehend steel fabrication drawings and adapt fitting processes for optimal results.
