About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures, perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Prepare, implement, and document patient care plans, communicating with physicians before, during, and after procedures.
  • Facilitate Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures, setting up and providing equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Contribute to Mission Effectiveness: Promote the spirit of our Mission Statement, supporting the cause of those who lack resources for a reasonable quality of life, and demonstrating reverence, integrity, wisdom, creativity, and dedication.
  • Assess and Coordinate Discharge Planning: Evaluate patient discharge needs, coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide Patient Education: Assess learning needs, providing age-specific and culturally appropriate education to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire, BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, and a valid Registered Nurse license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
