About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team at Brook & Whittle Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, as well as maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement company-wide safety programs and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and deliver EHS training to employees, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Coordinate internal and external EHS inspections, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain corporate-wide sustainability initiatives, including data collection and research on various sustainability topics.
  • Provide guidance and direction on EHS programs to employees and supervisors, ensuring a common and effective approach.
  • Assist with accident and incident investigation, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures and ensure safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible.
  • Maintain documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Practice safe working techniques and reinforce safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Serve as Chair or member on safety committees and councils.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Safety Certification(s) (e.g. ASP, OHST, STS, etc.) a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years' experience in a manufacturing environment leading environmental and safety compliance.
