Housekeeper/Janitor Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Housekeeper/Janitor to join our team at Turlock Nursing & Rehab Center. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients and visitors.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform various cleaning assignments as directed by supervisor, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and emptying trash.
  • Abide by safe and proper handling of all chemical/cleaning products and stocking of housekeeping carts.
  • Clean and tidy all assigned areas to satisfactory standards within designated timelines.
  • Maintain all equipment in good working condition, reporting any needs for repairs.
  • Report equipment/product needs, policy violations, and/or patient change in conditions.
  • Handle reasonable guests' complaints/requests and inform others when required to ensure patient and guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Operate standard housekeeping equipment (vacuum, mops, brooms, etc.).
  • Outstanding customer service and a kind communication style.
  • Desire to keep workplace clean and safe.
