Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend. As a critical care RN, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs in a fast-paced ICU environment.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan of care, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum of 6 months critical care experience in an acute care facility within the last 5 years, or successful completion of an approved training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
  • Preferred: 1 year RN experience in an Intensive Care Unit specializing in cardiac, neuro, or trauma.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
  • ACLS required within a standard grace period according to the PeaceHealth Resuscitation Training Completion requirements policy.
  • NIHSS & TNCC to be obtained within 12 months of hire/transfer.
