Logistics Expeditor

Vaisala is seeking a Logistics Expeditor to join our Boulder Factory Team in Louisville, Colorado. This role will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate receipt and shipment of materials, products, and systems.

• Receive and inspect materials from daily shipments
• Process receipts and distribute materials to inventory locations
• Maintain shipping and receiving equipment
• Deliver and support safety training for logistics personnel
• Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
• Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints
• Maintain internal record-keeping systems

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in domestic and international shipping
• Experience with shipping/freight carriers and their automated systems or web portals
• International shipping experience
• Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Experience working in a customer-facing role and providing excellent customer service
• Detail-oriented and willing to learn quickly
• Expertise with PC's and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in MRP systems (SAP preferred)
• Certified forklift operator
• Knowledge of safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials
• Knowledge of proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods
