Job Overview

Position: Telemetry Nurse

Job Type: Contract

Compensation: $45-$53 per hour

Shift: 06:00 - 18:30

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is tasked with ensuring the provision of safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

This role involves delivering direct patient care within the defined scope of practice. The Registered Nurse will also oversee and instruct patient and family education, as well as the activities of other nursing staff, while upholding the standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.

Accountability for the care provided to assigned patients rests directly with the Registered Nurse. Effective communication with physicians regarding any changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology, is essential.

The Registered Nurse must be adept at responding swiftly and accurately to any changes in patient conditions or responses to treatments.

Qualifications
  • Valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
  • Experience in an Acute Care hospital setting.
  • Preferred experience in Ventilator Management.
  • COVID vaccination is preferred.
